body a warm, supportive nurturing and a reset for spring salutations.

For a limited time at Elijah Forest Therapy, I’m offering a 70-minute Hot Stone Remedial Thai Fusion Massage for $100, normally valued at $140.
This Spring Special is available until 12 October at my new practice location
at 130 Hampton Road, Fremantle.
Somatic fusion of remedial Massage, Thai massage Inspiration and Grounding Hot Basalt Stones
I offer this hot stone ritual with three modality approaches in mind I use regularly in my practice: Remedial massage, Thai massage techniques and somatic awareness. This is an intuitive, body focused experience that is individually adapted to where your body's at, incorporating gentle, guided somatic interoception, breathwork and touch of aromatherapy.
With remedial massage I focus on areas of muscular tension, restriction, stuckness or discomfort. Depending on what we focus on during the session, you would experience massage techniques including myofascial release, trigger point work, deeper targeted pressure, muscle energy techniques, lymphatic activation and flow mobilisation.
Thai massage brings another dimension to this experience. I absolutely love incorporating elements like assisted stretching, compression and meridian line work
intertwining Thai techniques with Remedial massage techniques, making it a wholesome fusion.
The Harmonious Triangle of Touch, Technique and Hot Stones
I found the heat of the stones, radiating into the tissue, really helps soften muscles and fascia tension, creating a deeply settling quality within the treatment. I use hot basalt stones and place or work them across areas of the body, allowing warmth to gradually move into the tissues before and alongside the application of more focused massage techniques.
For my clients, the combination feels both therapeutic and deeply grounding
and relaxing.
Bodywork Massage Approaches & Somatic Focusing
The body rarely holds tension in an isolated spot. Like a marionette, if one string is off, the entire composition of the puppet is affected and compromised.
A tight shoulder can relate to neck neck pain and headaches.
Back pain can be related to core endurance and how you sit or move throughout
the day. Tension can also influence breathing, posture (the shape of the body)
and the amount of muscular energy used without consciously noticing it.
When you somatically tend to tension, you not only begin to release it but
also understand what it needs, you move away from tension, with awareness.
This is why I like working with a combination of techniques.
During your 70-minute hot stone massage ritual, we can explore what you feel you need the most and attend to those areas accordingly. Some areas may benefit from focused remedial work, while others take in nurturing heat, experience flow in movement or assisted with stretching and opening space in the body.
During this deep bodywork experience we shift attention to the whole experience of the body — breathing, movement, sensations, areas of holding, of constriction, and the way the nervous system responds to touch and stone.
No previous experience is needed. You can simply arrive, ground, regulate with me
and share what the current climate in your body is doing, and we attend to it together.
